Learn to play the euphonium
I’m a euphonium tutor happily offering private lessons to keen euphonium players in Glasgow. I’ve been teaching people of all ages and experiences for a year now and I enjoy every minute of it (mostly teenagers/young adults), although I don’t mind how old my clients are but preferably 10+, I can teach younger clients as long as they are willing to play and have some fun during our time together.

About myself
My Biography
Klarissa Forbes-Muir is currently at Glasgow Clyde College studying HND Music, year 2. She previously received a qualification for NC Music and she is hoping to receive a qualification for the completion of HND Music. Klarissa received a ‘B’ for Advanced Higher Music at Holyrood Secondary School.
Klarissa is ambitious, determined and is very honest in her opinions, she treats everybody equally and tends to be very trustworthy. Reliability is her thing, she makes a huge effort to be on time, this will make a desirable difference to her employer whereas if she was continuously late or never turned up she’d be most likely to lose her job.
In her spare time, she enjoys doing several activities. When she returns home from college, she practices her instruments (euphonium and violin), other times she’ll be teaching clients. Some times Klarissa will be found doing some composing and a few days a week, she spends time at the stables with Vegas, a horse she has on loan. She’s been going horse riding for 13 years. Whilst at home, she spends time with her guinea pig, Cadence.
Klarissa lives in a flat in the south side of Glasgow with her Mum and Dad. She doesn’t do any sports, she goes horse riding instead, she also enjoys playing pool whenever available and music playing is also a passion. Her favourite music has to be Baroque as she loves playing Baroque music and listening to it. Klarissa has travelled to a wide range of countries in her childhood, from Cyprus to America and she cannot decide which destination has been her favourite.
Her most favourite musicians are David Childs, a euphonium player and Andre Rieu, a violin player. Klarissa has previously made up her own showcase which went remarkably well.
Whilst at school, she was usually always found in the music department practicing her instruments. She always attended the Junior band on a Monday, the Jazz band on a Tuesday and the school Orchestra on a Friday. The music teachers were always saying “Are you still here?” As she was always around in the music department. Klarissa also received a ‘Michael Nelson’ Forte Award for her dedication to music as she was determined to do well and be accepted into college to further her music education. In 6th year, she got the chance to join the Glasgow schools Concert Band in the City Halls for around 4 months, it was unfortunate that she wasn’t asked to join earlier.
Klarissa also got the chance to take part in a brass workshop which lasted for 3 whole school days where she learned different aspects of playing with a large number of musicians, this really improved her timing which she always found difficult.
